Lawrence S. Ting School aims to equip students with the knowledge, competencies and qualities necessary to become leaders of the 21st century. To realize these educational goals, the school has built a global educational program with innovative teaching methods. The LSTS Capstone Program is the main curriculum framework that demonstrates how the school supports students. The Capstone Program is a combination of academic instruction and student learning. Students can develop their knowledge, skills and personal qualities in an effective learning environment through a diverse and professional assessment system. The program structure consists of three tiers from bottom to top: the Cornerstone Program, the Keystone Program and the Capstone Achievements.
As the foundation of the Capstone Program, the Cornerstone Program offers students the opportunity to hone essential 21st century skills such as Reading & Expression, English, ICT, Scientific Research, by providing students with rich, effective learning experiences.
The three aspects of systematic Curriculum Development, Adaptive Learning, and Teacher Professional Development are key strategies of the Keystone Program to ensure the achievement of the educational goals set by the school.
The Capstone Program aims to educate LSTS students to become “Doer, Thinker, Leader” through the support of many different programs and activities. The Capstone Achievements are also reflected in the daily practice of six global competencies and six core values by students.
