The headquarter campus came into operation in August 2008. Since then, the school has received a lot of awards and local and global recognition, to name just a few:
- Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister of Vietnam,
- Excellent Labour Collective Certificate from the Ho Chi Minh People’s Committee, awarded by MOET,
- The emulation flag of the City People's Committee,
- The highest attainable rating in a city-wide quality inspection of education for overall performance (2022),
- The Level 3 education quality accreditation in a national level (2022),
- A member school of New Pedagogies for Deep Learning (since 2021),
- A top ranked high school recognized by Australian National University (ANU), ranked 1st in Australia, that offers direct admission to LSTS students among 92 specialist schools and select schools in Vietnam in December 2022. (news release).
On September 5, 2022, the inauguration of the high school campus marked a new milestone of the school development. The new campus adopts the House-Family system to promote more cross-grade collaboration and cooperation and to create more opportunities for students to develop leadership. Meanwhile, our teacher force has become more powerful and professional after receiving systematic trainings and learning from each other in the PLCs. They work hard on the school-based curriculum development and student-centered pedagogical practices. LSTS is taking on a new journey with more aspiration and is sure to bring much better-quality education to Vietnam.
